Welcome back to the latest episode of "Strokes and Stories" – our artsy picnic party at Cubbon Park. If you thought our last art adventure was a blast, buckle up because this time we dived into the magical world of mandalas! Yeah, those cool circular designs that look like kaleidoscopes on paper – we made 'em, and it was a riot! In the last session, we learnt MDF painting. I teach a new art form in every session. And this session was about one of my favorite art forms, Mandala
Imagine this: a sunny day, birds chirping, and a bunch of us ready to unleash our inner Picasso. Cubbon Park wasn't just a park; it was our canvas, and we were about to turn it into a masterpiece of mandala madness.
So, what's a mandala, you ask? It's like a doodle on steroids – circles, patterns, and colors galore! People have been doing these for centuries, using them for everything from meditation to simply making something pretty. Mandala has been scientifically proven to be very relaxing and meditative. And guess what? Now it was our turn to join the mandala party!

Our art playground was buzzing with excitement as we got our hands on vibrant colors, geometric shapes, and a whole bunch of creative chaos. The mission? Create the coolest mandalas ever, guided by me, who made sure that nobody accidentally turn our circles into blobs. We start with introducing ourselves, our journey, hobbies and life experiences. Some were amateur artists while some were quite professional. They shared their artworks with the group. And after that we started with our mandala session. We covered the introduction and basic concepts before starting with the drawing. Beginner's mandala kit was provided to each participant, so that they don't have to carry anything with them. They just have to bring their enthusiasm. We strictly ensure that we don't leave any mess around.
But hold up, "Strokes and Stories" isn't just about becoming mandala maestros; it's about hanging out, having a laugh, and making some rad art pals. Picture this: people from all walks of life, chilling under the trees, sharing stories, and creating masterpieces.

It was like an art family reunion, minus the awkward family drama!
And let me tell you, the mandalas that came out of this creative fiesta were mind-blowing. We had everything from funky explosions to zen-like symmetrical wonders. Each mandala was like a little piece of our souls splashed onto the paper – expressive, unique, and downright awesome.
But the magic didn't stop with the art. It was about soaking up the good vibes, forgetting about the daily grind, and immersing ourselves in a world where creativity is king. In the midst of chaos, "Strokes and Stories" is our happy place, where we laugh in the face of stress and let our inner artists run wild.
Why Cubbon Park ? First of all, it feels like a picnic, Being out in nature and listening to chirping birds. Second reason was to keep the registration fees nominal. Every cafe or venue charges a flat commission for space, that we can easily access for free, in public places. So, I decided to hold my sessions in public place. I also keep the seats very limited, so that it doesn't become too overwhelming for me, I am able to provide individual guidance to every participant and it is a great learning experience for everyone.
So, if you're up for a wild ride of creativity, laughter, and maybe a little sunburn, grab your shades, pack some snacks, and join the next "Strokes and Stories" at Cubbon Park. Whether you're a seasoned doodler or a first-time scribbler, there's a spot for you in our colorful crew.
